Sacha Puttnam
Sacha is a long time friend of Gavin’s who has appeared with Bush since The Science of Things album.
Trained has a pianist, it wouldn’t be hard for him to pull up chair and throw a touch of his magic on the keyboards
for Bush. Gavin met Sacha back in his early club days in London and later they formed the band Midnight
together. After Midnight the two of them continued on as the Little Dukes, but shortly after that
didn’t work Gaivn left for California. It would be years later when Sacha would watching tv while and Italy for a
film festival, that he would see his old mate Gavin in the ‘Everything Zen’ music video. He couldn’t believe is was
him.
Sacha’s was born April 5, 1966 and his roster of achievements isn’t too shabby. Being the son of a noted film
director Lord David Puttnam, he made some film appearances in his early days as a child. He stuided in Russia as
a composer and conductor, as well as Berkley in the US. Some of his former students included Tony Blair’s
(English Priminister) children.
Besides playing with Bush Sacha has done an array of work on his own. Some of his later work was done in conjuction with Chris Coco. First he made an appearance on Chris's album 'New Wave' and more recently a full collaboration on 'Remasterpiece'. His music falls mainly in the ambient and classical genre. A far stretch from Bush, but still fantastic in its own right.
